Why no stamps?
A stamp gets a letter there, but without tracking. Every letter we post is tracked, so the calculator compares Australia Post's tracked envelopes. International Express isn't compared either: Australia Post needs a customs declaration for it.

How much is a stamp in Australia?
$1.85 for a small letter in Australia, untracked. Overseas, a small letter by Economy Air starts at $3.45 to New Zealand and is $4.70 to the UK and Europe, also untracked.
How much does it cost to send a tracked letter overseas?
Australia Post's International Registered prepaid envelope is $22.10 for a folded letter and $34.30 for a B4 one, to any country, tracked and signed for. We print and post one from $30.
How much is Registered Post in Australia?
Australia Post's Registered Post prepaid envelope is $8.15 for a DL letter and $10.50 for B4. Our Registered post is $16, printed, posted and signed for on delivery.
