Hearing coming up at TASCAT? Upload your submissions, evidence or form as a PDF, Word document or photo. We print it exactly as uploaded and post it with Australia Post: $10 by regular post, folded, for up to 12 pages, or $20 by Express Post for up to 20 pages, then $0.30 a page, GST included.
Unopost is an independent printing and posting service, not part of TASCAT or the Tasmania Government. We post what you upload; we can't tell you what to file or whether it meets a deadline.
What TASCAT asks for
TASCAT prefers documents by email, but accepts them by post. It dates a document by when it's received, not when it's posted, so allow for delivery time. Anything you file with TASCAT usually has to be served on the other party too. Most tenancy disputes aren't heard by TASCAT; rental pet disputes are.
Your notice of hearing and any directions for your case come first. Read TASCAT's guidance.
TASCAT's postal address
Every stream, including building work, planning appeals and rental pet disputes
TASCATGPO Box 1311Hobart TAS 7001Laid out to type into the Send to fields. Copied from TASCAT's contact page in September 2026: check it's still current before you post.
Posting to the other party
TASCAT leaves it to you to give the landlord, tenant, agent, builder or other party a copy of what you're relying on. Choose Several under Send to and paste TASCAT's address and theirs, so you post it to both with one payment.
Every letter is tracked, and we email you the Australia Post tracking number once it's lodged. Express Post can add signature on delivery for $6, a record of the handover. Whether that's the proof TASCAT needs is up to TASCAT.
Posting to TASCAT before a deadline
Pay by 2:30pm Melbourne time on a business day and it's posted that day, otherwise the next business day. Express Post usually arrives the next business day within Australia Post's network; regular post takes 3 to 7 business days.
Those are Australia Post's estimates, not a guarantee. If the deadline is a day or two away, use Express Post, or lodge online or in person where TASCAT allows it.
