Hearing coming up at ACAT? Upload your submissions, evidence or form as a PDF, Word document or photo. We print it exactly as uploaded and post it with Australia Post: $10 by regular post, folded, for up to 12 pages, or $20 by Express Post for up to 20 pages, then $0.30 a page, GST included.
Unopost is an independent printing and posting service, not part of ACAT or the Australian Capital Territory Government. We post what you upload; we can't tell you what to file or whether it meets a deadline.
What ACAT asks for
ACAT says that if you send it a document about an application, you must send a copy to every other party in the case, unless there's a non-disclosure order. It accepts documents by post in every type of case, and for civil disputes asks for copies: one for each party and one for ACAT.
Your notice of hearing and any directions for your case come first. Read ACAT's guidance.
ACAT's postal address
All case types, including rental disputes
ACT Civil and Administrative TribunalGPO Box 370Canberra ACT 2601Laid out to type into the Send to fields. Copied from ACAT's contact page in September 2026: check it's still current before you post.
Posting to the other party
ACAT leaves it to you to give the landlord, tenant, agent, builder or other party a copy of what you're relying on. Choose Several under Send to and paste ACAT's address and theirs, so you post it to both with one payment.
Every letter is tracked, and we email you the Australia Post tracking number once it's lodged. Express Post can add signature on delivery for $6, a record of the handover. Whether that's the proof ACAT needs is up to ACAT.
Posting to ACAT before a deadline
Pay by 2:30pm Melbourne time on a business day and it's posted that day, otherwise the next business day. Express Post usually arrives the next business day within Australia Post's network; regular post takes 3 to 7 business days.
Those are Australia Post's estimates, not a guarantee. If the deadline is a day or two away, use Express Post, or lodge online or in person where ACAT allows it.
