Hearing coming up at QCAT? Upload your submissions, evidence or form as a PDF, Word document or photo. We print it exactly as uploaded and post it with Australia Post: $10 by regular post, folded, for up to 12 pages, or $20 by Express Post for up to 20 pages, then $0.30 a page, GST included.
Unopost is an independent printing and posting service, not part of QCAT or the Queensland Government. We post what you upload; we can't tell you what to file or whether it meets a deadline.
What QCAT asks for
QCAT says everything you'll rely on at a hearing must be filed before it, with a copy given to every other party. If you post material to QCAT, it asks you to post it five business days before the due date so it arrives in time. Most tenancy disputes, such as bond and routine repairs, must go through the Residential Tenancies Authority's dispute resolution before QCAT. If your case was filed at a regional Magistrates Court, ask that court where to send material.
Your notice of hearing and any directions for your case come first. Read QCAT's guidance.
QCAT's postal address
All matters, including residential tenancies and minor civil disputes
QCAT RegistryGPO Box 1639Brisbane QLD 4001Laid out to type into the Send to fields. Copied from QCAT's contact page in September 2026: check it's still current before you post.
Posting to the other party
QCAT leaves it to you to give the landlord, tenant, agent, builder or other party a copy of what you're relying on. Choose Several under Send to and paste QCAT's address and theirs, so you post it to both with one payment.
Every letter is tracked, and we email you the Australia Post tracking number once it's lodged. Express Post can add signature on delivery for $6, a record of the handover. Whether that's the proof QCAT needs is up to QCAT.
Posting to QCAT before a deadline
Pay by 2:30pm Melbourne time on a business day and it's posted that day, otherwise the next business day. Express Post usually arrives the next business day within Australia Post's network; regular post takes 3 to 7 business days.
Those are Australia Post's estimates, not a guarantee. If the deadline is a day or two away, use Express Post, or lodge online or in person where QCAT allows it.
