Free dispute letter templates for Australia
Answer a few questions and get a clear, firm letter as a PDF. Print it yourself, or we print and post it for you, tracked, from $10.
General information, not legal advice. These templates follow what Australian regulators, legal aid commissions and community legal centres publish, checked on 26 October 2026. They can’t know your situation. If a lot is at stake, or a deadline or court case is running, talk to a lawyer, your state’s legal aid commission or a community legal centre first. Unopost isn’t a law firm.

- Refund, repair or replacement requestFor faulty goods, or services not done with care and skill, when the business won’t put it right.
- Rental repair requestFor renters whose landlord or agent hasn’t fixed something, urgent or not.
- Debt dispute letterFor a debt collector or creditor chasing money you don’t think you owe, or not that much.
Before you send one
- Stick to the facts: what happened, when, and what you want done. Leave out anger and anything you can’t back up.
- Give a fair, specific date to reply by, and say what you’ll do next if they don’t. Only say you’ll do what you really will.
- Keep a copy of the letter and of everything you enclose. Send copies, never originals.
- Post it so you can show it was sent: every letter we post is tracked, and signature on delivery records who received it.
